Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Tau Beta Omega chapter and The LA Alpha House Foundation presents Exploring African American Culture and the Harlem Renaissance through the Eyes of African American Youth. This is an art competition for middle school and high school students. The art can be in the form of a sculpture, painting or drawing. The theme for the art will be exploring African American culture and the Harlem Renaissance. The artwork will be judged by an Art Committee comprised of local, professional artists. A monetary award will be offered to the winners in each category. Fifty ($50) and $100 to the middle school and high school students, respectively. This is a free event.





All artwork submissions will be subject to approval by a juried process by the Art Committee. All artwork must be in good taste and child-friendly in content and subject to approval by the Art Committee.
