How We Got Started

3 years ago veteran and award-winning stage actor and play director DARRYL MAXIMILIAN ROBINSON ( The Founder of the multiracial non-Equity professional chamber theatre The Excaliber Shakespeare Company of Chicago ) paid a visit to long-time friend and former St. Louis Excaliber Productions Member J. L. WATT a very talented photographer editor and videographer who owns a modest and charming studio in West Los Angeles so that Mr. Robinson a more than four-decade-long theatre artist could begin the process of documenting and archiving his work in The Performing Arts. What Mr. Robinson and Mr. Watt would ultimately create was a photo shoot session and video entitled: Darryl Maximilian Robinson In His Awards Room! The video was shot on April 16 2017 and was recorded in Two Takes ( With Take Two Serving As The Creators Primary Cut ). Dozens of photos with Mr. Robinson displaying several of his local and regional theatre honors made up the balance of the session. The ESC LA was born.
